Can 2v's get 12.5's NA?

Yep it is and it seems that a handful of guys have done it. Bill Putnam (sp?) I belive is in the 12.4's @ 109ish and another that goes by KenB is in the mid 12's I believe. But these guys have proven more than anything though is that driving is more of a factor than the hp you car is putting down. I think Bill was in the 12.7-8's with 255ish rwhp :worship:

i was just in a chat with a guy who was running 11.9's and was N/A, so it can be done...but it sure seemed like it was a lot of money and time...but then again it looks to be worth it for an 11.9 :)

This guy said he was going to do it with ALL BOLT ONS. No cams, no heads, no intake, and no power adders.

I don't think he can do it.

 Still possible. Less weight means you don't need as much power.

Plus, how is an intake not a bolt-on? Seems a hell of a lot easier to do than longtubes.

In a chat??? Well, in a chat my car runs 11.xx at 122 MPH.... kidding, man - seriously, I think 12.5's are achievable with cams, maybe some head work, headers, all the bolt ons, weight reduction, tires and one hell of a driver!

It can be done at a cost with practice.

If you get 4.10 gears and every bolt on without cams or headwork and take out your back seats, you can be in the 12's on slicks. I fully intend on running 12.5 this spring with 3.73 gears and a 3390 race weight and alot faster with 4.10's if I decide to get them. with every bolt on and no headwork but with cams you can achieve 290rwhp with a good tune. around 285 with shorty headers. There is an article by bill that explains how to get into the 12's with just 255RWHP and most GT's dyno 230 stock.

Yes, it's possible, and there are people who have done it. Bill, Starkie, AutomaticWeapon are just a few. I'm running 12.7s with minimal weight reduction (back seat, spare tire, and jack), stiff lowering springs, front swaybar intact, and drag radials. I still have nothing done on the intake side of my car except for the C&L...I'm still running the stock air inlet tube.

Well,

As you've been told, its more than possible....

IF ppl. can pull low 13's in convertibles (Jackie Chan) and w/ minor engine work ppl. can pull almost 12's (Bill, Ken, Starkie, etc....)

Then it is easily done, and could actually be affordable :)
