After you remove the spare tire you have that space to fill. I have a custom sub box in the back and decided to have a lumber place close by cut me out a fiber board piece shaped kinda like the "key" on a basketball court, then a rectangle so it could fit the sub thru it. then i just carpeted it

I also put in polk audio DB570 5x7's in the rear deck, cut holes in the deck, and put in speaker grilles.

I put a little padding in the well (which was already under there after taking the spare out) and 2 small blankets on the left and right of the well to place the sub down on.. the box is wide enuff such that it won't move while sitting on the blankets, even on haard turns.

so is the board sealed to the floor of your trunk or is it just sitting on top of the blankets? it needs to be sealed to the floor somehow otherwise air will escape and it wont sound that good. prolly wouldnt anyway i head that metal isnt the best thing for boxes to be made out of. but ive had a few too many tonight.
