Hot Rod /Motor Trend Threads In here

I like it. :nice: The new GT looks clean and beefy looking. No fake hood or side scoops are good news in my book! :nice: The specs look promising. The rear end even looks good to me. The earlier pictures/photoshops really helped me get used to the shape. I think Ford hit a home run here.

The only thing that concerns me now are that the front seats look like they still have little side bolstering/support. That's my biggest gripe with my 2003 GT. At least the rear seats look like a big improvement.

The new pictures C6 Corvette I've seen floating around tonight look sweet too. It's a good time for Chevy and Ford performance enthusiats. :flag:

It's amazing how exactly the computer renders predicted what it woudl look like. i like it, but I have a couple complaints. Didn't Ford say that the GT and the v6 would look alot different? The only diff. I see is a spoiler, wheels, and foh lights in the grille. :shrug:

And if I were to buy one, i thikn i would drive it striaght from the dealership to the custom wheel shop, becuase the wheels on both versions are :puke: but I think I actually like the v6 rims better.

I also dont see much difference, its the same what the current GT and V6's differ.

Supposedly, a place in Cincinnati or somewhere released the issue early, but thats what I read here. I dunno if it's true or not. Maybe somebody knows the true story. :shrug:

shops that advertise in the magazine typically get a magazine issue forwarded to them almost a month in advance. If you look at the magazine its supposed to come out for February 2004, so chances are a advertiser leaked it before time. :D

Although it is difficult to see. If you look closely you can see a slight dividing line on the gt front bumper showing a different lower piece. check the pics on motortrend as well.

What you people don't realise with the exhaust thing is, that, while it is embarresing to mustang people to see the mufflers, it will draw attention from the idiot ricers, of whom's cars have these dumb things, and they will respect it, and admire it, because the car will stomp on their arses.

:D

All of you people complain about the mufflers when half of you are going to be putting magnapacks on anyways probably. You're not really going to be able to see those... especially if they can sneak them a little further forward since theyre smaller. Besides, if those mufflers are anything like the stock mufflers that come on GTs/Cobras now, any aftermarket muffler is going to be like 1/4 the size.

I say whoopty-doo... Aftermarket will work around it. Aside from that, I really like how the car came out. :nice:

ME at the dealership looking at a 05 Mustang;

Mmmm you like it when I nibble on your mirrors like that, don't you? What's that, more you say... mmmm you're so wet *playing wiper fluid button* I'm so hard... Lick your exhaust? You're so naughty, dirty.... dirty Mustang... ohhh you're so bad. mmmm like that? ohhh baby yes YES YES... I'm coming oh ...

eh yeah... Mustang **** brought to you by boredom :rolleyes: :rlaugh:

the front and sides look good, i dunno about the rear though looks like a 64 1/2 or 65! 315ftlb at 4500..is less grunt than current mach 1 at 335ftlb 4200

I'd hope it'd have a little less grunt then a Mach.. I still say 280 HP... Ford has been known to make big changes to pre production hype :)

And 300 HP.. man, if that's true.. Wonder how it'll affect insurance rates on these cars? I think the GT will get a substantial boost in premiums which might make it out of reach for younger drivers.
