Can't seem to find anyone that manufactures open end locking lug nuts that are shank style for my Draglites.

Anyone know if they're made? McGard has nothing on their website for open end...

Not aware of any such thing. I have seen guys cut 1 stud per wheel short enough to use a regular Mcgard wheel lock.

Thanks. Do you know if I'd still be track legal doing it this way?
Since the studs only need to go into the hex portion of the lug nut 1/2", you should be OK as long as they are long enough to accomplish that. Even if that length makes the stud a bit too long, you could add an extra lug nut washer underneath your wheel lock. I see you are in Alberta, since Edmonton & Calgary are both IHRA now, I`m not positive on their rules, but it seems most of the IHRA rules are similar to NHRA.

I think that the stud's have to come out the end of the lug nut's atlease 3 or 4 threads and i think if you go to your local speed shop or call weld racing they should have some open end lugs for you.

This is not true. The stud must extend the width of the stud into the hex portion of the lugnut. So, a 1/2" stud, as on our cars, must extend 1/2" into the hex of the lug nut. Draglites use a long shank, plus a washer, then the hex portion, so they require long studs. Acorn style lugnuts will be legal with factory studs.

No...I thought that was it :( I have draglites on my car with open end lug but i have aftermarket 31 spline axle's with studs so mine come out about and inch or two. :D

Yeah, it's more for the tech guys... with open ends and studs sticking through it's very obvious that you meet requirements. Better than having to pull a lugnut off to prove the stud is long enough.
