Really Timmy, nobody here knew that about the shifters. I think thats pretty obvious. And when you buy the aluminum driveshaft, you just tell them its for a TKO, you dont have to say anything about a Mod motor. Its funny when I told someone to get a Pro 5.0 shifter, you bitched and said they dont need it because it already has internal stops. But you want a beefy stick anyways, besides the stops. Then when I mention that the stops arent needed because the Tremec has stops, you say they should buy a Pro 5.0. Which one is it? Its pretty obvious if the car is going to be shifted aggressively a shifter should be bought to handle the stress, and because they have shorter throws. But some shifters come with stops which may not be needed because of the internal stops of the tranny. But I'd rather wear on an external shifter nut, then some mechanism inside my tranny. I think thats what the designer was going for when they offered the Pro 5.0 for tremecs with the stops. Why dont you come up with your own thoughts instead of trying to knitpick at other peoples thoughts. I only mentioned not necessarily needing the stops, but its obvious a shifter should still be employed. Hell, if he can make the shifts, he should keep the stock shifter on there and save the 200 bucks. I've driven 12 second muscle cars with 2 foot shifters practically. They are sloppy and worn, but I didnt miss a shift and could hit a gear faster than most people can blink an eye. Its annoying when say people need all these minor mods that cost so much money. There are mods that help marginally, arent absolutely necessary, but really add to the bill of a car. I would include the electric fan, aluminum shafts, shifters, and aluminum valve covers as these. They are nice to have but dont necessarily improve much or make the car go much faster.
