B-cam on 1.72 cobra roller rockers:226/226 duration .526/.526 lift.have your heads ever been milled?has your block ever been decked?need more info about the motor....Tolerances are very close on a stock 302

wow i didnt know it would give it that much more lift, from .480 to .526 also didnt know it would change the duration from 224 to 226, anyway the block is a 88 or 89 has 80k on it and has never been messed with...... I will have the heads off to put new head gaskets is there a good way to check clearance???

.526,I don't know everyone I have talk to says .510 maybe .512. Sorry I can't see .526. This might help you, take your cam lift .480(B cam) divide it by your stock rocker arm 1.6 this = .3000,then times this # by your new rockerarm of 1.7 = .510. If you times it by 1.72 it = .516.
Hope this helps.

I have that combo, I run the B cam with Cobra/Crane 1.7RR's which gives me 224/224 durration and .510/.510 lift, I also have it advanced 2*, has good bottom end but really kicks in at 4000rpm and up.

The would highly recomend a valve spring upgrade. Stock springs arn't any good above .500 lift and even with stock lift they valve float easy. I know a guy that was running the F cam on stock springs, last week a valve spring broke and destroyed his engine. I have double valve springs and have no valve float even at the lev limiter.

That's correct. The stock springs wont last long, if at all at that lift. I ran the cam and rockers with the stock heads at first, but upgraded the stock heads with a Crane valve spring kit 2 weeks later because of valve float. I put Edelbrock heads on the car a couple of years ago, and still have the same cam and rockers. It's a pretty good combination for a carbureted 5spd car.
