i removed my tint and i accidently razor bladed a few of my rear defrost connections, not the wire but the coating stuff on top, so now some dont work. is there some kind of stuff i can buy to put on there to re establish the connection?
yeah i remember it being in the Haynes manual that i have, whihc i cannot find. from what i remember it was like a hardening substance that you pu tover the wire using their guides. check out ur bible if you got one. if not im sure someone here can find it it theirs.
Let me know what you find. I had a shop remove and retint my windows 2 years ago, and 2 of the lines worked. The guy then had a kit and repaired about 5 more of the lines. You can see where he "patched" them. Kind of looks like solder.
I have same problem like you mighty_mike , when i removed my tint rear defroster doesn't works any more , I try 3 times fixed that with stuff from AutoZone , cost me $30 for 3 times and nothong , I c=check resistance , on one place is low on other is high , crazy , I just live that s@#t broken and whatever
