Could you possibly help me start to make sense of this? I tried to start my car and it hesitated for a couple seconds, and then finally kicked over and started. I tapped the throttle a few times just to make sure it was running and what not and then let it set back to idle. I noticed at idle that the car was rocking a little back and forth and my check engine light was flashing. So I opened the hood of the car and noticed the engine was rocking from left to right more then normal. Got back in and slowly rolled the car forward listening for any odd sounds and didn't hear any, but the car continued to vibrate really badly.

How broke is it? (I have this really bad feeling that to find out he heads are going to have to be pulled...) Could I get a rough estimate <$1000, $1000-$1500, $1500-$2000 or $2000+

Should I just shoot it and :(

Well I don't want to give you too much hope but MAYBE a motor mount is just busted or something. I dunno about the crappy start up though. My ignition is pretty crappy on my car. It takes forever to turnover and start up sometimes.
