I had bought a 347 stroker kit, of course bearings came with it. Will those bearings meant for a stock block, work with a 4 bolt main. I'm assuming this block im thinking of buying off this guy IS a beefed up 302 block. Any ideas, suggestions, thoughts would be hepful thanks.

Yes the bearings will work fine, if it is a stock 302 block with Milidon caps I'd be very sketchy, there is not enough meat to add the caps safely. It will actually weaken the block...

so adding 4 bolt main caps to a 2 bolt main block is very bad? Havent done it, just curious.

i dont believe it was a stock block, i think he called it an AGF? or soemthing odd i had never heard it before. any ideas? the supports and webbing ect were thicker than stock block and it had the four bolt mains. any idea what kind it is and the most i should pay for it?

Thats what it was i figured it was good the guys mustang ran 8.8's lol. whats the most you think i should pay for it? he hadn';t named a price but he had good deals on other stuff. The block is al;ready clearanced to for like hbeam rods and such.

Well that block bare new is $1500-$1600 plus 500 or so the machine and get ready so thats $2000-$2100 for just the block... I figure atleast $1500 or so is a decent price.

What are you planning to uild this could be overkill but then again this could be the last block you will ever need to buy.
