Well I finally got back to the track to get some new times with my new combo (listed in sig) and wasnt very impressed.

I ran mostly 14.4-14.5 at 99.xx mph, and got one good run in at 14.1 @ 99.68mph 2.2 60'

Someone PLEASE tell me that once I get my t-lock fixed and some 3.73's I'll be in the low 13's if not high 12's... I'm kinda disapointed with what my car ran tonight but at least for the most part it was consistant

I was shifting between 5000-5500rpm. My car wont go into gear anywhere over 5500rpm so that was the highest I took it up to. I'm also only getting 1 wheel putting power to the ground :nonono:

Well that's your problem. That combo should spin up to 6000 easy. Why won't it go into gear any higher....tranny problem?

I'm guessing it has a tranny problem. Its still on the stock 121k mile tranny. I'm going to be getting a rearend rebuild kit and some 3.73's with my next paycheck.

The single most important thing in Drag racing is your short time. With all the power your car is making, you will over power street radials and it will be very difficult to achieve the times you want because you will be spinning in 3rd gear. You NEED sticky tires, and you need to run the tach up to 6k. With an excellent run and shifting at 5500, I don't see you breaking 12's because those TW heads really like the revs. I would highly recommend a set of heavy duty axles, however, the only problem with the 31 spline Moser jobbers is that you need a new 31 spline T-lock which will run you another $400 or so. My point is that, yes, you will get a temporary fix in rebuilding the T-lock and a set of 3.73's but, you have to think about your ultimate goal - and that is 12's and for 12's to happen, you need sticky tires. So while your in the rear of the car, buy a 31 spline diff and a set of 31 spline axles and then button her up and stomp on it. Street tires are not made for drag racing. Good luck.

I'd love to buy a new differential but with my $7 an hour job and still being in highschool kinda makes it hard. As for sticky tires, I have 275/40/17 Nitto DR's and thoes things hooked great at the track.

messed up trak lok or not a 99mph trap speed isn't going to get you in the 12's, something is wrong with your car if you are trapping 99 and those heads/cam/intake are installed.....maybe your tranny is toast, i'd think you'd know it if it was tho..
