I know there is an issue with swapping clutches in a car with these LT's. Do you have to drop the K-member again to loosen the pass-side header or can you loosen it with the k-member still in?

I am wanting to get LT's installed at a local shop and he only will do Mac products. I'm OK with using Mac products, but I don't want screw myself with the whole clutch situation.

Thanks!

to make it alot easier on yourself, yes...you have to drop the K member to take the passenger side LT all the way off. I tried at first to just loosen it up and it became more of a hasle then just removing the entire thing. I dropped the entire K member then removed the tranny and installed the clutch. The Mac longtubes are still great and i would recommend getting them even though you have to take the one out to swap the clutch. They work great and have yeilded some of the best gains of any other LT. Its not that big of a deal to just drop the K member anyways. It took a buddy and I less then 45 minutes to have the entire thing dropped and already taking out the LT.
