99-04 front & rear springs on FOX body?

well, this isn't really my forte but it seems like you aren't getting much response so maybe i can get the ball rolling.

the struts are longer than a similar fox unit by ~1" if i remember correctly but can be used. i imagine the big issue here being on a lowered mustang they would max out the range of travel.

the springs are going to be a LOT stiffer than stock at a similar ride height. this being due to the added weight they have to carry on the new cars.

if you cant get fox stuff and get good deals on the sn95 parts you should consider the bullitt package. it will drop your fox about 1". the "handlers" on this board seem to love it.

good luck

Springs

I remember reading that someone fitted his 'stang with FRPP springs that belong on the Bullitt Mustang. Might contact a Ford dealer and talk to him. I wrote down the part numbers, but my organizational skills are lacking. So it seems to me that if they fit, the other springs should fit too.

the sn95 springs will work, however they will lower your ride height. Comparatively, the bullitt springs which lower the car 1" factory? will lower the fox more than 1", probably around 2 or so. the struts will also bolt right up.

not trying to be a jerk kslushy, but what are you basing this info on? the sn95 has a similar ride height to the fox from the factory and is a heavier car. therefore to put those springs in a fox would NOT lower it and would make for a stiffer ride. the bullitt springs will lower you about 1" from stock as the bullitt is lower than the stock gt. and as stated earlier the sn95 shocks/struts will bolt up but are longer.

5ptslow - do a search for bullitt suspension, i think it will answer most of your questions and even though you say you're not lowering the vehicle i would highly recommend a bullitt conversion for you.

i'm basing it on my 89 with full sn95 front suspension.

On edit again:

sleeper89: I take back what I stated. After rereading the original post, I see he was talking about using his current spindles. I was under the impression he was going with the later spindles as well. In which case, with his stock spindles, the ride height probably wont change very much. Thanks for the headsup :)

Use the fox struts.. the SNs allow for longer travel.. if you use stock SN springs your car will be even higher than stock...

I run 01 Bullits with tokico illuminas (fox spec) and they work great.

thanks for the input adam. this is what i was saying but it's always nice to get an opinion from someone with personal experience. BTW, love your ride...
