Don't blame the oil, it's not its fault.spanky442 said:I kept hearing how great the stuff was, so I decided to try it in my 93 Cobra. Well, it goes through a quart of it every 500 miles or so. So, I went back to dino oil. Anyone have experience with this?

spanky442 said:no, there is no problem with the engine. I ran it about 500 mile on mobil one and lost almost a quart. switched back and its is back to normal now.

If it is leaking oil then how is there no problem? You can cover it up by using mineral oil but that doesn't make it go away. You have damaged seals and/or gaskets that need to be replaced if you want your engine to be clean.spanky442 said:no, there is no problem with the engine.
A good article on the subject: http://www.bestsyntheticoil.com/amsoil/seals.shtml393Bird said:If you used 5-20 dino oil, I am sure it would lose oil also. I think its a matter of the viscosity, more than the type of oil. If its the org engine, the normal wear on parts ans seals will not like the thinner oil.
