I find one place for sensor of aftermarket water temp gauge

I have AutoMeter gauge in car but now I have dead stock water temp gauge , in next a few day I going to put ported/polished Cobra U/L intake and I have one idea , what if I drill one hole and treads into lower intake and put stock sensor in that place , below is pics with 2 choice , tell me what you guys thing and what else I can do to make stock gauge works,mey be I just could connect stock signal wire on AutoMeter sensor :shrug:

yea you could drill and tap the lower manifold for your autometer sensor. I am surprised that it did not come with a spot already in the back for it. If i were you i would grab either of the BACK lower flat corners and drill and tap there. That is where i tapped mine.
 
The "true" Cobra intakes and the Explorer lowers do not have the holes in the rear of the intake. Only the FRPP Cobra kits have the drilled and tapped holes in the rear and in the number 5 runner.

Like the other guys said, place the Autometer sender in the stock location. Then drill and tap one of those "flat" spots on the rear corners in front of the rear-most bolt holes of the lower intake. I could not remove my plugs in those rear holes(I have the FRPP Cobra kit) so my stock gauge is dead, but oh well.
