20" rims on mustangs opinions....

hey everyone...

Ya its true that it does probally hurt me a the strip, but these rims are lighter than smaller sizes, 3 piece aluminum!!! There is far less rubber but more rim. Alumium is way lighter than rubber.

Also, With the 305's in the back I have no problem hooking up, I was suprised. But I dont have a charger yet, As soon as I do I will be in trouble.

20's will kick the 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me' out of any 17 - 18 rim in cornering, Made the car handle so much more precise. I think most have the reason why people go with 15's on the strip wrong, It not about wreight difference, its about sidewall, the bigger the sidewall the more flex in tire and this will achieve a better hookup.

There is a reason why most race cars run big rims on the track though. Ididnt buy them for this purpose tough, I just like the look and the responsiveness.

latr guys,

latr guys,

FYI...the reason road race cars run big wheels to to clear their REALLY big brakes...and they use the smallest wheels they can to clear those brakes...there is no performance advatage with the tall wheels themselves...

this is very correct. if you are not racing where you need the cooling factor of large rotors. you would be better off to have smaller rotors and wheels. most 4 piston calipers are pretty huge. I must just be gay. I still like the big wheel look.

I still find it funny how many people have 18's on cars that don't need them. you are still running a bigger wheel. so obviouly poeple like a bigger wheel to a point.

If our cars did not look like 4x4's I would not have got 20's. lowering them only makes them look like they should have stock.

I like it! Much better than the typical ghetto-cruiser look that 20-inch wheels provide. Too many of them don't look right on cars like that one from earlier this week. That, looked like poo. The wheels on the white Saleen are

Hey, I actually like them on that car. This surprises even me. They'd look stupid on my understated BULLITT but they fit the SALEEN style of moderate bling pretty well.

Oh, on spinners, ...... Does anyone remember when spinners siply referred to the little mini winged bits that bolted to the center of your wheel? Usually in a "Y" shape, or sometimes just two, rather than thee mini blades? I've seen some on www.imboc.com that guys have put in vintage styled wheels and they fit that look preety well.

I swear, I was born way to late for my tastes.

Funny! I saw those same rims on a Infinity G35 this morning and I liked them... I am looking at that white saleen and i like IT!...

I don't care what you people say about bling blign and ghetto and whatever... I LIKE IT... i wouldn't do it since i don't have the money... the lip is nice...

Btw dude, check out my sig! :)
