I was just bored and was playing around and found a Baer Brake set up for the front of my car for $481. It includes cross drilled and slotted rotors, dbl piston calipers, ss lines, new pads, and all the needed parts. I think this is a great deal for the front stuff. What do you think and would anybodyelse like to lknow where I found such a deal?

Can you go bigger with 17inch rims? Those rotors look like the same diameter as stock rotors. Uhm. What about the rear can you use these in the rear too?

How much better over stock are these?!? What makes them better? Other then the cross drilled rotors. Are the stock rotors only one piston per caliper? I'm looking to pick up some breaks and if these are a steal and great improvement over my stock 94gt's 4 disc breaks then maybe I'll get on them. I'm just worried they might not be enough. I was hoping for something bigger with 4 piston calipers.

Cobra/Bullit setup may be cheaper, but this looks a heck of a lot better.

Piston, the stock brakes on our cars are single calipers, the rotors are quite small, and the whole factory braking system is marginal at best. This kit should be a nice improvement over stock. Not as fancy as 14" rotors and 4 or 6piston calipers, but they offer a better bang for your buck, and are perfectly fine for a street application. Unless you're very serious about road racing, i'd just go with these.

With 17" rims, i think 13's would be the limits...anyone correct me if i'm wrong. With 14"+ you'd need a minimum of 18's from what i've heard. I'm just going by what i hear, and so you might want to check on this on your own.

Put that kit on a buds 00gt and the calipers are PBR. The kit was like the cobra kit the pads were hawk(sp?) and they are way better. The car stopes a lot better, I mean A LOT better.

The only thing that sucked was the banjo bolt for the ss line to the caliper sucked and we broke one tring to get it to stop leaking (torqed it right), we ended up going to a dealer and getting a stock pair of bolts that fit the caliper (there are several diff. possible bolts even for a stock 00gt caliper). We had to grind off the ends of the bolts that fit since they had a nipple on the end. We replaced the bolt that came with the kit that was not leaking and when we got it off it too had twisted and it looked as if it was about to break, they had heavy distortion(sp?) around the area of the hole (were the other one actualy broke).

Did you go to the close-out section on their home page? It was about the 9 or 10th item down. If not, call them and ask them about. When I called, they had to find it too. They didn't know it had been put on the close out table.

Well the kit came in yesterday. The rotors are not slotted and drilled like the ad indicated. I called Dallas Mustang and asked them about that and they said that is just the basic kit and it is a $200 upgrade to get those rotors. This is the second time I have bought something from Dallas Mustang and it was handled this way. I have bought lots of parts in the last year and they are the only place I have trouble with. They will take the parts back if I don't want them so I need help in deciding to keep them or send them back and buy the PBR? kit like some of you were talking about. Can I get the Cobra kit for about the same price and does it come with the rotors like DM pictured for their kit and where can I buy it from?

Thanks for the help,
Paul

Thanks Dave. I will be going to the place you suggested. I just found out the kit Dallas Mustang sent to me was for the 96 and up models. This one did not have a master cylinder with it making it for the other models.
