Hey guys...When I depress my clutch it seems to click about half way, and the pedal travel seems a bit reduced. Any ideas what this could be? I'm thinking maybe I need to adjust the cable...sound right?
I had that problem right before my clutch cable snapped. Id be careful, replace it, that way you dont get stuck somewhere. Dont buy the cable from summit.....ive snapped two of there adjustable cables.
mine did this right after i installed a new cable, adjuster, etc.. then all of a sudden one day it quit doing it. i never did find anything wrong with it.
I wonder if it has something to do with our stock plastic clutch quadrants. Because mine does that sometimes too. It will have a little squeak/click when you push it down. But then it usually just goes away for a while and then will come back another time its weird.
Mine has always made a creaking noise when I push it down. It's also a lot harder to push than most other cars' clutches. When my friends get in and take it for a spin they always say the clutch feels more like a brake pedal lol. But I've been driving it for 3 years with no change and no problems...
As for a click sound, i dunno you could get the adj. quadrant and new cable. Good thing to have anyways....
i dont have it right infront of me but if i remember right the owner's ,anual says something about a clicking meaning you need to adjust the cable or something....i believe it says to put your foot under the pedal and pull up....the pedal should come out just a smidge (you will feel it) and then slowly push the clutch in.....idk if this will solve your problem but its worth a try......
