What day were you at the Pgh. show? I had to stand in a short line to get close to the Mustang the night we went. It doesn't look as crowded the day you were there.

I also sat in the yelllow Mach1 and was very disappointed to see that it had an auto tranny. What a bummer.

"I noticed behind the Ford GT there was a "Chebby" display. was anyone even remotely interested? hahaha"

Funny you should ask. Chevrolet always runs ads in the Pgh area bragging about being the best selling brand in the area for ### years running. The night I was there the Chevy section was like a ghost town. They had some spokesmodel on a platform talking about the new Cobalt. She had the undivided attention of an elderly couple and a teen couple. Everyone else kept moving on by. It was quite funny!

The Pontiac display was next to the Chevy display and it too was pretty quiet. Some people were gathered around the GTO but not nearly as many as were around the Mustang.

Chevy new stuff is only luke warm be comparison to Fords new stuff IMO. At least for the average Joe Buyer can afford. Sure if you have unlimited funds...a Cadillac XLR would be awesome to have ($110k in Canada) Ford GT will likely never be seen on Canadian roads (I hope they will, I would love to see one)

Man, until the Cleveland Auto show I was undecided about the 05. After seeing it though, I am absolutely convinced. I must have stood there and stared for 20 minutes. My reservations initially were about the looks of the fog lights, but after seeing them in person they look nicely integrated into the grill. This car just looks great - the overall proportions are awesome. Just can't wait to get one now.

I was there around 12:00 on the last Saturday (20th?) the show was open. I hit it at the right time. There was no one hanging around the display. The car also sat right next to the GT which pulled some attention away from the Mustang. I went again later on in the show to see it one last time before I left and it was alot more crowded.

The car looks awsome in person. It sealed the deal for me. I will have one.

Sealed the deal for me too. I'm hoping to get a decent deal on one at year end when the snow starts piling up and Mustangs are the last thing people around here will be shopping for.

On the other hand, if I like the vert and can afford it I'll be waiting until next March or April to buy. I don't care how long I have to wait. I will get one!
