Hello Everyone,

I want to add CAI (Cold Air Induction) to a stock '94 GT. I want a cold air kit that goes from the fenderwell to the throttle body, probably with the stock MAF (mass airflow sensor).

Are BBK and MAC the only two companies that make these setups? I am leaning towards the BBK cold air. Does anyone have pictures of the BBK CAI or any other suggestions or pictures?

I don't mind changing the MAF with the Cold Air kit if it will make a big difference on an otherwise stock car.

Pictures and opinions would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

I dont have any pictures of my setup, but I got mine off of ebay. You can find them on there pretty much in any kind of setup you want and cheap too. I paid like 95 for mine and it is the "inside fender" chrome type that uses the stock MAF sensor. But you can find them for much cheaper than that. Unless you just really want to go with the BBK or MAC names, I would say buy one off ebay, or you could make your own. As far as performance goes, the only really noticable difference I could see on my stock car, was it made a different sound at half throttle and up.

I think denschager makes a good setup and it costs a little less. The only thing is it not chrome (if that was what you were looking for) The good thing about it is it doesn't attract that much heat.

let me be the first to try and convince you to make you own cold air....its much cheaper and works better....here is mine.....

now mine isnt painted so its not really all that attractive but you get the idea....but you can paint it any color you want....

Make your own. I have the BBK kit because it was on my car when i baught it. First of all it doesn't fit that great. Second of all its metal like pretty much all the aftermarket ones are but IMO wouldn't plastic be more benifitial because it won't conduct heat as much thus keep the air cooler which is what we were after in the first place???

Thank you!

Thanks for the pictures and information you guys!

If anyone has a picture of the BBK set up, I would still like to see it. I got an e-mail from a guy who says he has one for sale cheap, but he doesn't have a digital camera. I would like to see what the BBK one looks like before I decide.

Thanks again everyone!

I'd get the Densecharger simply for looks. I like the way carbon fiber looks with a black car. There's a new CAI avaliable that they do a install of in either 5.0 or MMFF mag that looks really cool but is only avaliable for eberything BUT the 94-95 cars. :nonono:
