Here is my .02,
Buy the Cobra. Then take your Cobra to an autoX event! Watch how bad the stock suspension on the Cobra can handle the power. You will learn respect for your car very fast at the same time learns the limits or how far you can push the Cobra. You are not going to be very happy with what you learn. You will run over some cones unless you are very talented in driving (you never know). The great thing about an AutoX event is that you only run over cones if you loose control. I really believe every young driver should do this once. And it makes a great father/son or daughter event. You can share a car and most SCCA autoX clubs have loaner helmet that you are allowed to borrow. This should only set you back $35 per person per AutoX event.
