get this...

ok i just got home from school because i wsa pretty much forced to leave because they were towing cars in the student parking lot.

about 2 hours before the day was over and they were in full force (about 30 min. into it) they towed 35+ cars at my school for this reason
... who knows what the count will be up to before the day is over (and keep in mind im at a small maine school so there towing a good amount of the cars)

-parking in the dirt(due to lack of parking spaces)
-no parking sticker(that costs $3 to buy and was never stressed or enforced)

well it somewhat makes sence but whats bogus is that they started this new policy where they put violation stickers on your windshield if you did something wrong like parking or what ever, and on your second sticker you would get your car towed... all good and well but out of no where without warning us or anything they just towed cars like crazy without giving out any of the stickers that were in the deal.... sory for the rant but tell me what you think... i called the news paper and they are sending reporters and photographers there now

what do they want more for us to learn or do they want our money?

anyways since i got to my car right before they towed it i was burnin the tires cuz i was pissed off and the school rent a cop got my info and said he was gonna see my in court. im going to have the lawyer from my job go to court with me but can u think of any good ways to get off the hook on that one :D

Is this a highschool? I'm surprised they let you leave. I had a similar problem with my old community college. People were parking in handicap spots painted medians, parked next to the cement medians, people parking next to those parked on the medians, people parking in the dirt, people parked on the sidewalk. I started parking on the dirt, but they pissed the crap outta me when they posted up a sign telling people not to park there. Well where the hell are we suppost to park? In retailiation, I parked on the median. Thats right, I should be allowed to, simply as a way of giving me props for getting a mustang up there. Instead as I left some nut chased me on foot with a orange sticker he was going to place on my car. He said that the third strick they would tow my car. Well if that was the first, the 2nd, they just called a cop had him ticket me. I had seen cops drive there before but never ticket anyone. Obviously theres plenty of other people with more obvious crimes (fire lane, handicap, etc)

I fought the ticket in court, showing pics of how bad the parking situation was, even had pics of the schools vehicles having to park next to the ones parked in the fire lanes. I fought it mostly because with the obvious no parking on dirt sign, obvious handicap, obvious yellow "no parking" and red "fire lanes" that median was the only thing that had no obvious restriction. I got my ticket reduced, but not dismissed. He told me that I should park in the dirt from now on, and if I got a ticket for parking on the dirt, he would dismiss it without question. From then on I parked on the dirt, but guess who they DIDNT make an example of? Yep, after that everyone started parking on the median.

Course, now I go to a school where if you cant park where you paid good money to park, you can always park parralel a mile from campus and walk. The old school was out in the plains far from anything, parking super far away and walking was not an option.

We had a simliar policy at my high school, but I don't remember anyone actually being towed. What you are describing sounds exactly like what they were doin, but they never actually towed otherwise I'd probably have a story to tell like that.

I knew that my highschool towed cars. Most of my classes were in portables, so we always knew which ones. Basically I guess they towed people who didnt have parking stickers (parking was free) or towed people who parked weird, like places they shouldn't normally. I recall seeing tons of stickers on vehicles, so I'm not too sure how many warnings you got.

I recall when I got my mustang, they wouldnt let me have a sticker. I had one but since it was on my old car, I didnt have access to it. I went to the mall and took measurements from someone elses car. I basically made my own on the computer and printed one out. Since I didnt get greedy (chose normal parking) I never got caught.

A highschool here solves all these problems by issuing parking permits and assigns you a parking spot. They give priority to kids who say they will be driving every day, and those who are in after school events. I think that is fair and solves a ton of problems. If you park in a spot that is not yours, and the assigned parking spot owner complains, you get a real parking ticket.

my school has a different policy on bad parking. They make you park about a half a mile away from the school on the other side of the football field. Or they give you detention, but they fianally realized that they needed to expand their parking facillities so now its not a race to see who can get to school first so they can get a parking spot.

damn them.... well ill keep you guys updated on what goes down at my school because I can almost guarantee u that the school will have a huge protest or some kids will vandalize it... if u have any good ideas on how to get back at em lemme know :D thanks

My highschool usta have assigned parking spots, You had to pay for the parking. Then they realized that overpopulation was a problem, which still is. I dont remember what the real reason was, but my freshman year they refunded anyone who bought a permit, then painted over the numbers. To this day we had a color system, red - staff, blue - jocks, green band & coop people, yellow - commoners. My senior year I was blessed with a green sticker. Unfortunately I only parked there onces, du to how bad parking was. We had 36 portables, and they decided they would fill up the green lot with them. Plus more problems, green and blue people could park in the yellow if they liked.

I never really had a problem with parking at high school b/c I didn't have my liscense until the end of my senior year.I went to Euclid High my first three years, and the North Ridgeville High my senior year since I moved.Plus,I always lived so close to my H.S. driving to school would be ludacris unless I had a huge project thing to turn in.

Apparently it was uncool to walk/ride the bus, or had your mom drop you off. I had a psychotic friend who literally lived right next to school. But she claimed her mom didnt like her walking, thought that road was dangerous. I hardly saw another car when I drove on it. Anyways, I gave her a ride to and from school because she claimed she needed it. I see nothing wrong with riding the bus if youre under 16. My friend who I gave rides to didnt get her liscense till she was 17, and she was older than me!

If I lived where she did, I probally wouldnt drive, considering how lame parking was. I probally would just ride my bike.
