I have 2 chamber flows, and plan on getting my new exhaust done by next week. Which should I go with? Prochamber or Mac offroad h-pipe? I have heard the offroad h-pipe on a friends stang liked it quite a bit. But I keep hearing alot of good stuff about the Prochamber... I don't want the tin can sound that I heard before form some stangs, not sure what pipe, they had that sounded like that...

i love my prochamber

I've had my Prochamber on the GT for about a month now...and all I can say is WOW! I just love the Flowmaster + Prochamber sound. Everything about this midpipe is sweet. It seems to have gotten a bit louder over time, and the upper rpm's sing! I have noticed an impressive improvement in throttle reponse and SOTP difference as well! I highly reccomend it to you.

Bigtime!

Hello,

We sell MAC products and have never had a pro-chamber bolt up problem. Again very nice products at decent prices. The flowpath mufflers also have a tone wich is close to the Flowmasters, but in my own opinion sound a little deeper and less tinny. Both are well performing mufflers, and work well with the pro-chamber.

Thanks again, :nice:

Pro Chamber! I also had Mac Flowpaths and agree with what Nvr2Fast said - they are GREAT sounding mufflers too. Have you ever heard Flowpaths and a ProChamber together? Unbelievable, though a little loud for me and the ol' lady.

Fitment Issues

I vote for the prochamber. It went in pretty easy. If I would have had another person to help it would have been absolutly smooth as hell.

The mechanic who installed my Prochamber didn't seem to have a problem. The only issue I've noticed, is that when making turns, the pipe rubs the undercarriage somewhere and it sounds very strange. I was worried at first, but the general consensus is that these off road pipes sway from side to side a bit, so it's normal. I'm having my next oil change soon, I plan to ask my mechanic to verify everything is nice and tight down there. :nice:

Dude, you're gettin a prochamber!

Prochamber baby! If it wasn't for emissions testing, I would be running the Prochamber.

Florida ended emissions testing a few years ago, so it's all gravy down south brotha!

I wonder what criteria needs to be met in order for a state to end it's emissions testing. The general consensus of cars on the road in Florida was the majority of them were late model cars, so the state couldn't see fit on spending the money on the testing centers, salaries, and additional costs assocated with emission testing. I guess it varies from state to state.

Florida so totally rocks, squirt! :D

Im going to have to totally agree with everyone here that said go prochamber. In my opinion, there is no other...everytime i hear one with flows and a prochamber, it gives me chills...good chills. This thing sounds incredible. Once the rest of my warranty runs out, there will be one on mine. I am counting the days...

ok im in the same dilemma, i like how the prochamber sounds to an extent, but its just not the sound im looking for, would i want the mac off road H? i dont want to get the MRT because its just too much money, but technically, wouldnt all 2 1/2 off road h pipes sound the same if they all had the same muffler setup? my first choice was BBK Off road H but they dont make it for my year, so im thinking it would be the same thing right? or am i completely wrong? btw i have 2 chamber flowmasters.

I have Flowmaster American Thunder Catback with Prochamber's. I installed the prochamber 4 days ago so im still new to it. I gotta give it a 9 out of 10 score. Sounds mean as hell. I am very satasified with it.

But I got a question for the prochamber owners. Do you guys get little rattle when you barley push the gas? I get very little rattle when I 1st push the gas or when I let off the gas and rolling down a hill while its in gear. Is this normal or do I need to check the nuts and tighten them down? Also I have to install my MIL Eliminators the guy who put them on forgot to put them on haha. ByE

Congrats on the Prochamber, just installed mine yesterday and love it. Mine does not rattle whatsoever, there are two things off the top of my head I could think of that may be causing it. The passenger side pipe is very very close to the K-Member so you may want to check there, also the O2 sensor plugs on the rear really don't have a good place to be fastened to, especially with long MILs. I ended up using zip ties and tying them up to the black transmission support so they were out of the way and wouldn't rattle.

I do have a question for you though, in 5th gear while giving her a lot of gas do you hear any sound coming from the passenger floorboard area? I think I may not have tightend the two bolts tight enough and maybe I have an exhaust leak.

I think I may have found the source of my rattling. The rear driverside 02 sensor was real loose. I hand tightened it cause I had nothing to tighten it so maybe it will stay for now till I get a big enough wrench. After I tightened it up I backed the car up to put it into the ramps and I didnt hear the rattle so I think im ok. Also how far should I keep the wiring and the MIL's away from the H pipe or does it matter?
