I wish I knew what kind of pump it is but it was in the car when I bought it. Also I never thought about the pump not pumping as good after it gets hot. I hope that is the problem, I wish someone had a similar problem to mine.

About the whole 70mm tb vs. 65mm tb. I've seen track results that prove a 70mm is better than a 65mm. I'm sticking with my 70mm. Ed C recommened me to get a 75mm also.
I think NeQX had a problem like yours not to long ago. Not 100% on that but I think he might have. Hope you get it worked out.:nice:

IMO you should focus on getting your launches more consistent maybe a good set of drag radials or slicks would help. If you spend more time working on your driving skill ( which will help either way) is gonna make it easier to diagnose potential problems. Cause right now it looks like it could go either way (driving or mechanical problem) or a bit of both.

I will give it all a try and see. About my 60fts. They are all normally close to the same. Its just on my second pass this last time at the track the car didn't have to power to launch on them so it just bogged.

imo i think it is the fuel pump is losing pressure after it gets warm, my buddys car had the same problems and he is a master ford tech and chased the problem for 2 weeks on his stang and then put a fuel pressure gauge on it and his problem was the car when cold would run 37psi but when got warm run 28 psi, out a new 255 pump in the ar and it ran like new, i think you need a new 255 fuel pump and is all the ignition part stock or aftermarket and how many miles are on them

fuel injectors work only at 85% dute cycle.so if you run more than 16.15psi on each injector, they just get jammed open.try runing on slicks and if your runing a manual tras. take of the shift boot to shift faster.

I had the 24s on there when I dynoed it and they worked best at 36psi. I swapped to my stock 19s to see if maybe the 24s were given out. I picked up the pressure to 46psi on my 19s and it runs just like the 24s did. Back about a year ago I swapped in the 24s and they made no difference on my track times.

It seems the fuel pump is the problem according to alot of people. I'll just buy a new one and stick it in there this weekend and see what happens.

my ignition consist of all new plugs, wires, cap, rotor and crane hi-6 with the matching coil.

Alright, I ordered a new pump and I'm going to install it when I get a chance. After thinking back on all the times I went to the track, my first pass is normally the faster one out the bunch and then it slows down after that. I guess the pump could very well be it. Another thing is that the one time I went to the track and trapped 108mph, I had a full tank of gas.

I just looked at my time slips from the first time at the track with the new combo and here is the trap speeds. These were from about a year ago and about 500 miles on the new motor and combo.
1st - 104mph
2nd- 102mph
3rd- 101mph
4th- 98mph
