white face gauges

i want spme white face gauges to touch up my interior. anyone have pics of different brands, prices and where u got them. i'm looking at the mac ones. they seem reasonably priced and look good, but i also saw a bunch of gauges on e-bay. el-glo i think.

I have MAC white face gauges, both instrument cluster and A/C...I like em a lot, and get a lot of compliments! ;-)

they are somewhat difficult to install- but well worth the hassle...PM me if you have problems installing, I have it down!

i went there, but u can get these same gauges on e-bay for 20 bucks. i like the mac because they look like the true cobra white face gauges

I also have the MAC white face gauges and I love them! I got them at mustangsunlimited.com .They have good prices
on them.I seen places that were selling them for 100.00 .If I had a
scanner I would post pics for you.Anyone have pics to post for this
guy?

Another vote for MAC. If they're installed correctly, they're as good as it gets. Mine look as good as factory-day and night.

the stock gauges and MAC white faced gauges in like day and night!

Then I would order them from MAC because I don't know how sells them
cheaper than 39.50.Mustangs Unlimited must not sell MAC white faced
gauges anymore than if they didn't have them.I think getting them from
MAC would be the best idea than if your still getting them.

Sorry to be a spoiler, but I hated my MAC white face gauges. They looked fine during the day, but at night they looked like total crap. the lighting was uneven and dim. They looked exactly like they are-- Cheap. Just my humble opinion, but you get what you pay for.

Oh yeah-- dont bother saying that they were not installed correctly, I can guarentee that they were definately installed right.

I bought the autometer cluster. The gauges were off so i returned it then i reinstalled a new one and it was even more off it said i was going 45 when i was actually only doing 20 or so, the temp and the tach were way off too. They said every thing except the gages themselves were OEM ford but it did not work for me so I got ugly stock back in looking for some white faced my self or maybe just a silver bezel to put in there would look good. I don't know?

I actually have the autometer cluster as well. I have not had a problem. The gauges are all dead nut on. Sounds like you had some bad luck with them?

How in the heck do you get the headlight knob off? I cant figure it out at all. I was gonna clean and polish my clear plastic gauge bezel thing.

This is how you do it using a flat tip small screwdriver,
remove the light switch knob by moving the light switch knob by moving
the retaining clip outward and pulling gently it's quite easy.Using a torx
head tool,remove the two screws that hold the gauge bezel in place.

MAC Gauges

I read the post by S.D.-STANGMAN. I have heard similar problems. Mine are PERFECT at night. I read a few install tricks before I did mine and I think these tricks head off the uneven lighting problem..When you remove the original gauge face, you take a new single edge razor blade and "shave" off the points where the stockers were spot welded to the clear plastic surface. This insures the new face sheet will lay flat. These weld points are raised and thek keep the new gauge face sheet from laying flat. After doing this step I cleaned the clear plastic surface with alcohol. Next just be careful when laying the new gauge sheet on and make sure it is dead flat.
Like I said, mine look as good, day and night, as any factory setup. "The Devil is in the details".

I like the speedhut. Just becaue you get to pick the colors of everthing. illumination, face, lettering. All of the off the shelf stuff I didn't like. I like the lunar but the elglo is a git much. I like the revese glow better.
