I'm eagerly anticipating my departure to Maryland to pick up my 03 GT. This I think would be a good building block. Any other ideas welcome. My wishlist of things to do with $500 (limit) as soon as I get it are:

Pro 5.0 or Tri-ax: The internal debate continues :)

5.0 is notchy/short (w/out tri-ax handle), Tri-ax is noisy or so I've read. Tri-ax will probably win even with the $5 off from Part Shopper.

LOL! In due time. Gears in a bit when I get more $$ and blower in about 100 years when I get that $4000 for T&J's :)

I figured I'd get the basics outta the way before I started adding power. I was gonna get the C&L plenum w/ 75mm TB in a short bit as well.

I want a Bassani exhaust. Don't really care for the rest except for MAYBE one. Definitely after getting the clutch quad and shifter though I'll be looking into exhaust then gears or vice versa. I might get the Cobra R (y2k model) hood in between those as well. I just hope I can get my current car sold within the next two weeks so I can definitely get it. The guy was nice and took it out of for sale advertising for me but I can't expect him to hold it all year :)

Congrats man. The first mod (don't listen to the others LOL) get some exhaust since the factory one sounds like A$$. Then worry about the go fast goodies. I bought my exhaust for the cobra the same day I drove it home :nice:
I agree get the new Flowmaster 40 series
catback with 21/2" tips that would make your stang sound awesome in my
opnion merc123! The stock catback is just restrictive and quieter so,good
luck on your first mod! :nice:

I got my Bassani X first. I had that for about 6 months then I added Bassani Cat back, Vortech, gears, shifter all at once. If I had to do it again I would get the gears first and then the shifter. After that go for the exhaust cause there is no point in the blower if you cant get that thing to breath well. Just my opinion

My suggestion for your $500 would be a Pro 5.0 shifter (night and day difference over stock) ,cat back from either Magnaflow or Bassani (Magnaflow is cheaper, Bassani is expensive but may sound a little better), and a Raptor shiftlight. As far as the Steeda clutch adjuster goes, don't get it. If you look in my sig you'll see I've already done a ton of mods. My most recent one was a Steeda clutch adjuster kit and it is now the only mod I wish I didn't do. The factory piece adjusts itself and never needs to be toyed with. And Steeda inlcludes an inferior clutch cable with the kit that I was told not even to use cause the factory one is that much better. Good luck.

As far as the shifter being noisy that won't be a problem with subs and an exhaust :)

I'll take the tri-ax just because of the ride height and I don't want to spend the extra $30 for the tri-ax handle on the 5.0. If I don't like it then I'll sell it and get the Pro 5.0.

Looks like I'll save the $$ on the clutch quadrant and use it on something else. Probably not a shift light (no need for it right now especially).
