Man, despite what the majority of the people on this site say, I actually get alot of compliments from both young and old people with this car. Nearly everytime time I'm stopped at a gas station I have somebody compliment it or check it out. And it's an absolute BLAST to drive! 1st gear is usless in that thing! And it's really amazing how many ricers always try to race me in it, lol.

Technically it's my dad's car, but I drive it more than he does. It's his "toy". He said I can take it to college too, as long as I help make the payments on it. :nice:

looks like its payback for making you go to military school your whole life.

nice.
Yeah, actually it's just an all boys boarding school, and it's not THAT bad. I think it's worth it.
See the Illinois plates on it? The temporary tags expired, so my dad just put his sister's old plates on there for a day until the new ones came. :D

120 is fast to me. Just think how long you'd bounce, slide and flip along if a dog or deer ran in front of you. I admit it's probably my age, but I won't go that fast unless I'm on a track!

Nice car, be careful.

not really my type of car either but i respect thier speed. 13 PSI max eh? i wonder what 18 would do :stick: :D Not a big fan of torque steer, and i just wish they put that motor is something other than a Neon. No offense but i HATE neons. But it does look nice, just be careful with it.

I'm not knocking the neon but he'll really be doing something if it ever goes 120 on a track.

I'm ok with the srt's they remind me of the svo by what how it compares to its competitors.

notched I like the black, I local guy has a yellow one, lol I hope your not planning on driving that thing here though. I have a 1/4 mile rock driveway. :notnice: So I wouldn't spend much time washing it.

I feel old saying this... but 120 is way to fast, especially for a neon. Check out this thread and think twice before you do that next time:

That being said the car looks great!
yeah 351, I'm not bringing it up to your place. My dad took it with him to Delaware for the weekend, so... BTW, you have a PM. :nice: PM me some directions to your place so I can come up there sometime this weekend. REALLY looking foreward to seeing your cars!

Normally the boost is about 14 PSI, and sometimes even 15. The turbo sounds bad ass in it too. :D

And as for the 120 mph thing, I'm actually quite a wuss, and you should have see how fast I hit the brakes after that pic, lol. It was on this long straight paved road by my house that's about a half mile long. Fun, but I get too freaked out doing that sorta stuff. And I did that 120 mph blast when it still had them temp tags on it. :nice:

Well the car is plenty stable at high speeds. It doesn't even feel like your moving until 80 mph. There are videos of SRT-4's with Stage 1 and CAI going 160! I doubt I would EVER go that fast in ANY car though, unless it was on the track. Contrary to the 16 year old stereotype, I never speed in this thing, and only get into full boost maybe once everytime I drive it. I actually drive it like a grandma. And it's not even my car yet, (it won't be until I graduate high school, and I still have to pay for some of it) so I'm really careful with it. The 120 mph thing was really stupid, but it was a really clear day and no one was comming on the road at all. In fact, that was the first time I ever really drove it hard; my friend was really bugging me to see what it could do. And you wouldn't believe how fast it got up to that speed either.

And caffine cobra, those pictures you just showed...you won't believe this but my dad and I actually test drove that car. It was at Brown Honda/Dodge in Charlottesville. The salesman who was with us was crazy. He insisted that he drive the car first, so my dad let him. He pulled outta there and spun the tires all the way through first, shifted into 2nd at 5,500, and then grinded it into 3rd. And the car only had 12 miles! So much for that whole "break in" period. Anyways, about a week after the test drive I noticed that it wasn't there anymore. Then a friend of mine who knows a few guys who work at brown said one of the employees totalled it. I didn't know if it was true or not, and then this guy on srtforums.com who was in Charlottesville PM'ed me and asked me if I saw the black SRT at brown. I told him yeah, I test drove it. He said he test drove it too, and he let the salesman drive it back to the dealer as he sat in the passenger seat. (same salesman that we drove with!) Anyways, the salesman was driving it hard and got it sideways, and the car went into a fence. A piece of the fence came through the window and got the guy in the side of the face. There is a pending lawsuit, and that picture of the guy is after several plastic surguries...he said the whole side of his face was gone! The guy finally just went over to a dealer in richmond and bought a blue one.

But still kinda freaky to think my dad could have been that guy in that picture all cut up, and I would have been in the back seat! :nonono:

Wow, that's insane! You're lucky, glad you weren't in there! That salesman should be shot! :nonono: What an idiot.

Sounds like you're very responsible and know how to be safe! :D That's awesome. Try to stay that way once you own the car... it's tough sometimes! :stick:

Yeah the FWD thing kinda sucks. If you try to lauch that thing at anything over 2,000 RPM, the tires will do nothing but hop and spin. It's kinda funny though, despite all the power, there is almost NO torque steer. Dodge really made an effort to minimize it.

And I'll admit, when I first saw one I thought it was butt ass ugly piece o' crap Neon. But when I finally saw it up close and drove it, my mind changed pretty fast. :D Everyone knocks the Super Neon 'til they drive one. LOL, I let my friend drive it who is an classic muscle car guy. He hates all new cars, especially 4 cylinder "wannabe sports cars" as he called them. As soon as he got behind the wheel though, his jaw hit the floor. And now he wants one. :D

And in my opinion, this car really is the modern incarnation of the SVO. Both cars were made by a small group of people with a short amount of time, both were controversial when they came out, both have turbo 4's, and both have a controversial rear wing. :D

One of my favorite parts about this car is the exhaust note. It comes with no mufflers from the factory, and it just sounds nasty. Let off the gas at a high RPM, and your treated with a furry of pops and snaps.
