X2C MOTORSPORTS CONTROL ARMS

  • Sponsors (?)

I did a search on Corral to find out more about X2C's control arms. Most guys seemed to be pleased but others were not.

For the price they look like they would be hard to beat. $149 for a set of uppers AND lowers, plus you get a lifetime warranty!! Obviously for that price I wouldn't expect them to compare to units from Griggs or Maximum Motorsports, but not everybody has to have (or can afford) the best. The general consensus was that they are great for street use/occasional strip, but if your car is a dedicated track car I'd probably look elsewhere (even though X2C does offer a more expensive version for the hardcore track guys).

I've heard a LOT of mixed opinions about X2C's quality of products though. Some have great experiences and some don't. Their shortblocks are much more inexpensive than ones from DSS, CHP, etc...and some people said they are great while other people say they are crap and "you get what you pay for."

The 1 product from X2C that I haven't really heard anything bad about is their Tremec TKO V1.0 tranny. That thing is supposedly bulletproof and their claim to fame.

i think for the money it's worth taking a chance. they have the adjustable lowers that i think i might go with. not bad under 200 for uppers and lowers. if they end up sucking then i'll get better ones and sell them on e-bay.

I just had the X2C Boxer ST control arms installed on my Bullitt and I like them.

There's no squeaking and no additional noise is being transmitted to the cabin.

I launched at 5-6k on 275-60-15 BFG dr's and they held up like a champ.
60 ft times were 1.6 to 1.7, which is my best ever.

After reading some posts I think that many of you had bad experiences with the old tubular style control arms that X2C offered. Those were complete junk and X2C has since discontinued them.

The new control arms (The Boxer ST and Boxer R) are a box style with Energy Suspension bushings. They are built in house and are much improved.

Soooo that's that. Good luck with whatever you choose!
:nice:

getiing alot of negatives on these. maybe they are crap and i shouldn't waste the money. what uppers and lowers are cheap but work well. i don't feel like paying 700-800 for control arms.
Steeda has some uppers for 89-99 depending where you buy them.. They also have cheap lca's for 169 ish.. also consider Pro3i's Lowers.. found on www.partshopper.com .. only like 155 or so and excellent reviews (same design as MM)
