Hey all, i havent been in here for a while since i got in my accidet, just stoppin by to say whats goin on.

stangs are still the only car i love, although currently i dont have one (hell i'm on $10,000 bail, and that says i cant step near the drivers seat of a car). i still have my 2.3T engine project in the garage and i await the day i can drop it in a stang and DRIVE it, but untill then i can dream. for all those who care, i'm still going through the courts fighting my dangerous driving causing bodily harm x2 charges, for those of you who dont know i was in a BIG streetracing accident that happened rite infront of me (while i was cruising) and well i avoided the main collision but as i was swerving out the was the bmw M3 who started it all decided to do a circle on the highway and i t-boned him going at about 120km/h so that was the end of my 5.0L and pretty much my driving for a while. witnesses saw my car merge onto the highway with the bimmer, we went beside eachother for a min or two cruising at about 160, he wanted to race i didnt so he zoomed off from me after my friend in a 99 cobra who did want to race, he tried to pass by going in between two cars (middle of a lane) halfway through he realized he couldnt make it so he jammed on his brakes and well you can fill in the blanks from here on.

after i pay off my insurance (we now have to pay $12,000 a year for 2 cars, an mx6 and a GTP, this is without me driving any of them) i will be getting another mustang and since i have time i will be working and dumping all my money into it, so watch for my crazy 2.3T commin out.

many "wassups" go out to all u old skool stangnet guys: red lx, rein, gtp phreak, stinger, i4power, Asha'man and all you others that i missed (my bad)

if you wanna know more just ask.

so how are all the projects commin along? pics :D to inspire me....

That's unfortunate dude ... I would have loved to have seen your car at some point ... considering we live in the same town and what not. I'm doing my 2.3T buildup this summer.

Where are you coming from? I live downtown Toronto and work in Missisauga. Would love to know someone else with some 2.3T experience ... I hope everythring works out for you concerning insurance and what not.

Good luck ... Ontario is a bitch with things like that!

oh and welcome back!

well my 5.0 was just any generic 5.0 with x pipe, and supertrapps out back, sounded LOUD but nice. and the 2.3T i just have the engine, need to find a rolling chassis now. i live in scarborough, portunion and sheppard area. u may have heard about my accident, it happened at the begining of the summer last year..."2 mustangs and a BMW in a +200km/h street race cause 6 car pileup" it was front page of all the papers that day.

as for when i can drive again, well my trial is oct, 25th so untill then i for sure cant drive, and then after that depending on how the trial goes i may not b able to drive for a looooong time.

dan...how u like the subframes? i had em put on my 5.0...WORLD of difference...it felt like the car wanted to leap up but it was planting too well to...before one side would lift alot and the other just chill....i even had a tiny chip in the windshield and a small crack on the a pillar from those "HOLD THE **** ON" launches, but the subs corrected that.....shoulda came stock on all mustangs.

also, the subframe connectors could have verry well saved my girlfriends life, as she was sitting shotty and the car whipped around into her side...when i was strippin the car for parts i rolled it onto its side and the passenger subframe connector was bent about 25degrees....think how much more the car would have crumpled if they werent there...i'll try and get some pics up.

that liiks like a nice clean install.

Dude, has been a long time! Glad to hear you are OK though. Don't know what it is abou this forum, but seems that alot of bad luck has come through for some reason.

Well, the Merkur is parked. Fixed, runs/drives great, but parked. I'm not a superstitious person, but that car has been jinxed for me. Seems every time I drive it, something big breaks... last time I drove it, the tranny blew. My friend however can run it all day long and not a single hint of a problem. Go figure. Supposedly he was going to buy the car, but so far he hasn't coughed up the cash, nor has he come by for the title.

Possibly looking at putting together an '85 LX Coupe 2.3L for Circle Track duty... This spring/summer maybe?

Still tooling around in the minivan. Useful for parts and hauling computers around. However, it too is getting tired. Need to do a valve guide job on it, but don't feel terribly inclined.

Future projects: Well, I may be in the market for another vehicle soon. Largely depends on how finances go this year. I suppose if finances go REAL good, a Subaru WRX would be a possibility.

Ash, why am i so screwed u ask...well due to a few dumass witnesses that decided to converse at the side of the road during the accident they all determined that i was going +200km/h (yea...cuy they had a radar in their cars...riiiiight) so they each gave seperate statements that all stated that i was racing the BMW, some dumass even said that he was behind me when I got on the highway, but yet he saw the accident....hmmmm well unless he was going 200km/h (according to his statement) he is a big fricken liar. Also due to some money hungry parents the girl in the back of the car (used to be one of my best friends) is now sueing me, even though she wasnt wearing her seat belt, and wasent even sitting in the seat right so she broke her femur due to not being secured in properly.

GTPhreak, the car looks badass, what kinda wing is that? any times or kills?

Rein, It's not just this forum...most public forums have a few bad apples..thats why the "ban" function was invented :) . i member that curse on ur merk, (u should call it "the curse of the merk", lol) you had wiring probs and everything...didnt you put a t5 into it, is that what blew? As for the WRX....nice car but if ur looking for speed as well as having a nice car...dont go with the WRX, i spanked an STI so badly once in my 5.0 that it made me loose all respect i have ever had for those cars, i still like the looks tho.

i forgot to ask, when i used to frequent here, i believe it was red84lx who was in a really bad accident and recieved some bad burns...is there any word on him and how he is doing?

i was talkin to my dad today and he said that the cheapest thing to insure is a truck...so immediately the ranger popped into my head, i know they are probably **** for handling but it can still be a fun truck if i dropp my 2.3T in it...so i might be thinkin about that, cause $17,000+ a year insurance for 2 cars and a stang for me is just not gonna work.

pics will most likely be up later today for all interested.

Hey no dissen on the WRX. Probably a noob driver. :nonono:

Hearsay always messes things up. A guy ran a red light and hit me. (Had my dad's van so just bent metal) But some guy pulls up and says he saw the accident and then proceeds to tell ME I ran the red. I asked him if he even saw the accident, and was like no I just saw where the cars ended up. WTF? Shut the hell up unless you actually saw it.

Then a year later a F'n Ambulance plowed through a red and rammed me. I had no chance of avoiding it. And there was no way he was prepared to stop. They strapped myself and the passengers to the stretcher and got me out of there. Stitched my arm up and the next day I get the police report. The Bastard EMT's said I ran the Red. A bunch of crap.

Good-Luck with all the legal bulls***. I am sure you know it sucks ass.

I had a ranger with the 2.3 N/A. It was a blast to drive around town. Completely lost it on the highway, but handled pretty good IMO for a truck. Only thing with the handling is they have the TTB setup and I am not sure what can be done to them besides lowering the car a bit. Was hoping to drop a 2.3T in it but it meet its demise with the Ambulance.

yes all this legal stuff is just a great big pile or steaming bull****, its costed us over $30,000 so far and its climbing at a steady rate.

as for the ranger, well i have done NO research yet but i know i'm gonna drop my 2.3T in it. I had my fun with the 5.0's now i wanna feel boost and smoke some 5.0's with a "punny litle 4cyl, as they put it"...on the track of course...it would be a good daily driver as well, i was paying around $150 - $250 bux of gas a week depending on how i drove it (hard or harder :D)

if any of you know any good ranger sites LMK

GTPhreak, that wing looks badass, thats a stock cobra wing?

plz ppl keep it on the road, or atleast do it when noone is around. Also the best piece of advice...never trust anyone to be as good of a driver as yourself, its not you, you gotta worry about, its the dumass that tries to go inbetween 2 cars in the middle of a lane"
