Anyone rolled their fender lips?

What's the best way to go about doing this? I've heard some people say to pry with a wood baseball bat, cut the lip with a cutting wheel, and cutting slits in the lip to help with the bending. Should I just let a body shop do this? I really have my heart set on running some 265/50R15's in the rear, and hopefully I will be able to clear enough room for them.

Yes.

The ball bat trick has been around a very long time and works well. But I wouldn't want to take the chance with my fenders. Damned things are too hard to come by.
 
I've rolled them in the rear on one of mine...If your paint is already done then have a body shop do it. If your paint is not done and you're doing your own work, go for it. In the front I just take the fender off and completely remove the lip with a grinder. In the rear I cut a slit about every 1" and rolled them, and still plan on following up with the welder to re-seal each of the slits. One area of the bend crinkled the fender lip very slightly, but enough that it would piss anyone off working on a finished paint job...this can be avoided with the slits close enough together, but I was experimenting at that point and was about 2" apart.

As for the rolling the fenders, I plan to do this to my car. I have absolutely no traction right now with my 245's.

In the tire/wheel thread, someone talked about a 15x8.5 with a 4.875 backspacing or something. That's what I think I may try to put on my car.

Anyone know what size tires will fit that?

What is the best way to get rid of rust

-drivers side was collision damaged and rusted just above the lip all the way through in several places

1. get used quarters (Where is the seam just above the fuel cap?)

2 MU rear quarters

3 hone up my welding skills [remember bird droppings Dano] and weld only small section just above the lip all the way around

4. have a shop do it (price???) Definitely need a paint job anyway
 
If the rust is limited to just around the lip.. then you could probably repair that with some plain jane sheetmetal and a welder. Afterwards you'll reform the exact contours with some bondo. I had the same problem and that is what I done. However if the rust is more extensive, I'd search for a parts car to rob the quarter panels from. I've put reproduction quarter panels on cars before and they never fit like there supposed to. Even the classic Mustangs, which it seems everybody and their brother sells parts for, suffer from poor reproduction sheetmetal in some cases.
