adjustable shocks causing a lil wheel hop

My pops bought me some Comp Engineering adjustable rear shocks for X-mas, put them on the other day set at 50/50. They seem to give me a lil bit of wheel hop, the old stock ones never did. Should I try 40/60 or would this just make it worse? That would make them stiffer, correct? They are a lot stiffer than stock right now. I guess I need to try them out with slicks first though, that's what really matters. Only thing that sucks about them is you have to fully compress them to adjust them, so you have to undo them at the top every time, and I can't figure out how to get them to click over to 30/70 either.

I have the same shocks. They are a PITA. They work ok for me as far as wheel hop. I have the left set at the med and the right set at the hard setting (I think). Either that or left at soft right at med.

One shock was very hard to set. I dont know if it was broken, but it was definately different than the other one.

I thought all adjustable shocks had the little knob at the bottom of the shock. I should have known better. My next set will be knob type.
