Oh, my speakers are just fine. Surround Sound with a Sub and all. My 5.0 sounds great, just can't stand the sound of her car. I have had 2 v6 mustangs, and I've never tried to make them sound good. CAUSE ITS IMPOSSIBLE. The only reason I like dual exhaust on my 6er is for looks. Plain and simple. If you want to hear a real car on ur speakers, listen to these...

:-D

I disagree. I think it's quite possible for a V6 to sound good. With my dual flow setup, it sounds just as deep as my 01 GT did at idle. In fact, I more often hear v8s that sound like crud b/c the owner just wants it "loud". It's not about the decibal level you can reach, it's the overall tone that matters. :nice:

1996MustangKid A 96 doesnt have a 5.0 that was the first year they switched to the modular 4.6.

Yeap sorry Typo  I meant 95 5.0,

and

If anyone is interested I am selling my 95 GT offroad H pipe in perfect conditions pm me if anyone interested!

-- Have you listened to the sound clips of my car? By the way, my license plates are "LOUD 302"... its LOUD, but it certainly doesnt lack in tone quality. I love the sound of my car, and there isnt a v6 out there that can give the type of tone POSSIBLE with a v8 mustang. Fact is, NO v6 stang can sound better than a v8 that is set up correctly (as far as exhaust). The best v8 sound will always be better than the best of a v6. I've got a 98 v6, and an 89 5.0.... i'm not even going to try and make my v6 sound good, cause it will never compare to my Fiver! :) As far as the sound clips... its always nice to live in rural illinois and be able to run the 1/4 mile right off my driveway on the local 2 lane highway. Nooooo cars for miles at that time of night, and the sound quality is GREAT (I used a camcorder and just stripped off the sound). Oh, and can u hear me work that clutch/stick :-D... not bad for a skinny white boy in his first v8. Anyways, I'm off to work on the stangs!

 :nonono: Well, whatever makes you sleep at night. As for your sound clips, I can't stand a car that backfires when you let off the gas.....just cramps my style, no offense. The 302's were bad m/f'ers, but now they are all ragged out like the 89-93 GT's. As for a V6 never being able to sound better than a V8, that's a matter of opinion, but I'm not going to get into that with you b/c you GT guys always get soooo protective over how much better the V8 is compared to the V6.

#1... My 302 is an LX, not a GT. Not Ragged out. Best fox body in the area. 136,000 miles, no rust, 3 stage pearl metallic maroon paint, and just sold it for $5200. It's ONE FOXY FIVE-OHHH. :-D
#2... I'm not a v8 guy. I loved drivin that car, but I'm a v6 guy at heart. I LOVE MY V6. I get so many looks, and its a great car to drive.
#3.... The sound you heard might have been a backfire because I pulled out of gear and let off the gas completely. But most likely it was just my air pump, not the engine. I have straight pipes, no mufflers... so thats common. I LOVE the way that car sounds, and I've never had anyone say they didnt like it. So you didnt like the sound it made after my run was over... big deal. Oh, and if you think you can drive better... well whatever makes you sleep at night. :)
Fact is, v6 exhaust will never compare to the CAPABILITIES of the v8's. Doesnt mean I am a "GT" or v8 "guy". Oh, and I don't understand ur comment on 302's bein bad, but now ragged out like the 89-93 GT's... doesnt make any sense.

I never said I could drive better than you...but since you mention it..... :D Well now you can say you've heard someone who didn't like it. And ok..it wasn't a GT, it was a 302. Big deal. As for my earlier comment about being ragged out, I mean the 302 was a nice car back in the day, but now they all sound like a$$...kind of like...well...yours. :D

i hate to rip on mustangs because i own one and all, but if i were to get an 80's muscle car, it would definately be the camaro, not the mustang. the 80's mustangs look like ford escorts w/ a bigger engine (well some have 4-bangers...), i think ford really sucked for the whole muscle car scene in the 80's...
