For reference, I used to be good at making these decisions, but once college hit, along with other expenses my Mustang knowledge fell through the basement...
With that said, my current setup is a MAC ProChamber w/a MAC Cat-Back ending in their 'WONDERFUL' chrome 3.5" tips. I need a change. While I love the look of the tips, the sweet sound this setup produces, and the SOTP performance I'm pretty sure it gave me; I am entirely sick and tired of the fit & finish of this system.
I just installed 'replacement' tips from MAC after sending them pics of the rusted POS tips that had been on my car for about 3 years. I am looking for a system that performs well, sounds awesome, but more importantly fits to 99.99% accuracy (including no hassle lining up of the tips with the cut-outs in the rear bumper on my back installing in my back yard none-the-less), and a finish that will do nothing but improve over time!
I currently prefer the sound of an H, but I'm not opposed to going to an X either. SS would probably be the way to go as well. So given that information, recommendations anyone? Which produces more HP? TQ? I know exhaust choices are as varied as people's imaginations, but some helpful 'pointers' would be most appreciated.
NE Pennsylvania can be quite harsh on cars, so something that will withstand the harsh winters up here is preferable. Also, does anyone know if LT headers are street legal in PA?
Thanks!!
