What plugs/wires are in it? What's the timing set at? Is the knock sensor plugged in? What gas are you running? Does it blow any smoke at all? Is the TPS calibrated correctly? Those things could cause that. There's probably no leak.

good luck.. i had the same problem with my svo, took it to many mechanics who told me it was just a four cylinder car and it wouldnt go any faster... btw, shortly afterward i heard this terrible knocking of a rod into a cylinder wall.. oh well..

tune up, plugs/wires, motorcraft parts only please...no platinum plugs..just the standard copper core (either motorcraft, autolite..etc) check timing..like stated what gass are you running? with 15psi that means you should be runing premium (91+) all that seems well, pull the knock sensor...but listen for pinging of any sort (roll the windows up, take it into boost..see if you can hear and clinking or "ping ping" from the cylinders, been described as a pots&pans clanking sound) if its pinging, put the knock sensor back in.

If your svo died from a rod breaking wow someone forgot to take care of there car! forged bottom end doesnt just die...and for a 4cylinder 200hp(depending on year +/-) aint to bad...stock.

if it boosts 15 psi, and its not leaking anywhere its almost guaranteed to be timing, if you forget to pull the spout when setting the timing, and set timing at 10btdc then your actually running like 10-20 degrees atdc and the car will NEVER pull. pull the spout set the timing and the car will probably be fixed. also with the timing set like that its a good chance that the car also will have trouble going to any higher rpms than say 3000ish.
