I have the stock H and only a "Saleen" Borla cat-back. your H pipe is fine, that is not the problem. Are you using the full KB intake ? (90mm MAF, 75mm TB, 12" K&N, 4" pipe and so on...)
The stock intake is way too restrictive for the KB blower...
Hey 00s281sc368:

Do you know what your spark timing adavnce was set during your dyny pull? I see on your signature 433 rwhp! :hail2: That's amazing. Was that on the power or shootout mode? Are those SAE corrected numbers?

I think the problem is the stock H. My #'s were low also and I am the only guy that has the stock H.
I'm not quite sure about that. As you can see on my signature I've got long tube hearders and off-road x-pipe. I'm seeing 398 rwhp on the power mode and 418 on the shootout mode. But then again, I ran the test with the car a liitle hot whcih may have caused the chip to pull out spark timing. Ken sent me a new chip about three weeks ago and I'm yet to run a new dyno test to see the new numbers. I should see well over 420 rwhp as he set the spark timing at 25 deg on the shootout mode. Considering that on my last dyno test, the spark timing was set at 20 deg. and that on our engines one deg is equivalent to 4 rwhp, then I should see 438 rwhp (20 deg - 25 deg = 5 deg x 4 rwhp per deg. = 20+ rwhp) :hail2:

Has to be his midpipe man...the intake side will gain significant power but he should be getting close to 400 with just exhaust and the blower. Look at KB's detailed dyno schematic. They show exactly how much hp each combo would make. Once you get intake mods your well over 400 but without any intake mods you can make right at 400 hp with decent timing.

I don't know what timing was set, I can ask the shop who installed it and did the dyno pulls. My 433rwhp are uncorrected numbers, my SAE corrected numbers are 418rwhp 403rwtq. It's in normal mode on 91 octane from the cheapo gas station down the street. :D
We didn't try the shootout mode, cauz I had no gas for it...

WOW! You are very lucky. My 418 rwhp are on the shootout mode. On the Power mode it is making 398rwhp. Not bad though. But I have a new chip from Ken which I'm yet to test at the dyno. I hope to see 430+rwhp on the shootout mode. :hail2:

Well I got my car dynoed today for the first time at New England Dyno in Mass. Numbers were as follows. HP=363 , TQ= 380. :( I'm kind of pissed. Everyone else with the 9psi kit are well over 400. I think its my damn exhaust. thats all we could come up with. My A/F is a SOLID 11.9:1. All I have is Flowmaster 3 chamber weld-in's. I think that its time for the magnapacs and o/r H. I'll post the sheet later. Just got home from the 3 hour drive and had to vent. On a good note, i did put out more HP and TQ then the 10 Zo6's that were there!!!

Youre not going to get 40 horsepower changing from flowmasters to magna's.

That's my thought too....

Your not going to gain anything from switching to different aftermarket mufflers, flowmasters or other. Reason being is that aftermarket mufflers flow WAY better than the rest of your exhaust. Even with long tube headers and a catless mid-pipe mufflers will basically change nothing.

This is why long tubes and mid-pipe make such a power difference on our vehicles...they are the main restrictions to exhaust. The only way i can see mufflers making more than 1-3 hp difference (basically moving a little power higher in the rpm band) would be with a turbo setup with adverse affects on backpressure.
