Hey, im new to this forum....i read them all the time tho...just wondering if any one could help me out on a problem i am having...i just put an edelbrock intake and 70mm TB on my 88 GT 5.0....now i am done with the instalation and i am in the process of timing my car...i also put new spark plugs in too...now when i try to start my car there is some kind of liquid spraying out of my spark plug closest to the passenger side far back...im not sure what this is...and there was a little antifreeze coming out of my TB...not alot but a little bit...anyone know whats going on?

no i never had this problem before...could it be a hose connected to the back of the upper manifold? ya i tightened the spark plugs down as hard as i can...it's a b*tch because the A/C hoses are in the way and just really tight squeeze....any suggestions

Well I hate to say but it sounds like you either cross threaded the plug or its not tight and the liquid i'd say gas. Your TB is leaking or the TB spacer in front of it ? The spacer has 2 pipes that come out and a rubber hose on each side on each of the pipes and anti-freeze runs through the spacer suppose to have something to do with cold weather i'm not really sure i bypassed mine. This could be the problem. Is it leaking out of the TB?

You probably need a gasket for you spacer. I would just bypass the spacer, pull the hoses off it a get a piece of pipe and hook them together. That will take care of it, the spacer is the only thing near the TB that would have antifreeze flowing in it.

i did the bypass thing and did not feel a difference. I hooked it back up again and still no difference, but doesn't the antifreeze supposed to cool down the spacer or the air flow or something to that extreme?
