Superchargers for my '04 GT/warranty

A gearhead friend of mine is recommending the Vortech V-2 SQ S-Trim supercharger for my new Stang. Retails for $3889.95 (satin) and $4098.95 (polished).

Are there any other superchargers worth looking into? I'm willing to spend the money as long as it's good.

And what does this do for the warranty?

Thanks.

PM Cobrakiller. He sells a complete kit. He has the safest tune that I've heard of for our cars which I'm sure you are looking for since your car is brand new.

As for the warranty, throw it out the window.

1. Buy from cobra killer
2. Mod your car, say goodbye to your warranty.

*(people will argue about point #2 but for all practical purposes, when you mod it, you OWN it).

All that said, do it! :nice:

"In the 50 state legal kits, all necessary components including brackets, hardware, drive, lubrication, fuel & ignition components are included in the box at the time of purchase. No other modifications are necessary. No hood or body modifications are required."

Scroll to the bottom and there is a FAQ section where it says that the supercharger will not void the warranty.

I want to install it myself but most likely will do so with the aid of a friend.

Your warranty will be voided, but only on components that are directly affected by your S/C (I.E. Engine).

Go with a Cobra Killer kit and enjoy a safe A/F ratio with good power on the street.....:nice:

get the cobra killer kit , as far as warranty goes , my dealer is covering everything on my car , talk it over with your dealer , mine said as long as I had proof that the Air fuel ratio was safe they would cover me .

Get the tuner kit from superchargersonline.com for $2450. Then you will need to get a fuel pump ($100) and injectors ($300) and a dynotune ($300-$500).

Even if you are going to get the complete kit you will want to dynotune the car so factor in that $300-$500 for whatever kit you get.

If you go the tuner kit route you save enough money to get a powerpipe, 90mm LMAF, and 42# injectors. You will still probably have money left over.
