the x has occasional slight clearance problems with the t56, and the x also, from all the ones ive heard, sound a little bit higher pitched than the h's.... i really liked the bassani pipe though.... just sorta wanna get something with a deeper rumble, not quite so raspy, which from what ive been told the pro chamber is pretty much what im looking for....

Sounds like you did a little more than creep over a speed bump -- I've had plenty of scrapes with different exhausts and never did that kind of damage!

Anyway, I'd stick with a major manufacturer like Bassani, BBK, etc.

when i went over it my speedo wasnt even registering that i was moving.... so i was creeping, but damn these foot tall speed bumps here at school....

im still open to suggestions....

Are you using shorties or long tubes? I have a BBk lt/h-pipe/2-chamber flows. I don't know how much you worry about rust, but I live in ohio, and my "ceramic coated" bbk headers have started to rust/flake off in about a year. They sound awesome, very deep rumble, no rasp whatsoever. I don't think they knew what they were talking about but ..... I have had people ask me if I had a big-block in it.

asu : are they the chrome or the ceramic ones and have you had any
problems with them? What kind of mufflers were you using and haw raspy was the x-pipe? (one of my friends is considering the h vs x pipes)

Is there a prochamber available for longtubes?

P.S. Does anyone have any sound clips of a prochamber?

im using the ceramic ones, and havent had any problems with them at all
im using mac pro dump mufflers
the x was very raspy and metallic sounding
yes, there is a prochamber for longtubes
and heres a soundclip of a 91 5.0 with stock headers and 2 chamber flows
www.mustangexhaust.com

i ordered a prochamber this morning, and cant wait for it to get here

yeah the x is much raspier (is that a word lol) i like the chamber much better thanks a lot!

btw - how much did your t56 set you back and where did u get it? also how much/where from is your brake kit? Im lookin to build a stroked 351 or somthing along the lines of your combo, but I got sidetracked by a deteriorating body.
