Has anyone's key ever bent?

Just got my car back from the shop and had a tough time starting my car, only to realize the damn key is bent!! I picked the car up after the shop closed so I couldn't question them as to how this happened but the bottom line is that I can't use it b/c it barely fits in the ignition and it won't turn over once I get it in there.

I really don't feel like getting another key programmed, so my question is if this can be bent back w/o messing up the key's "brain". I figure if I can get it bent back then I won;t go through the hassle of questioning the shop and all that jazz.

Thanks for any help.

Obviously some moron at the shop used your key as a pry bar. Go back and tell them to give you another $50 key. If you use a messed-up key in your switch you will quickly wear out the switch.

Why don't you just put it in a vise?

Well that's the thing, I didn't want to start bending it back without seeing if it'll screw up the programming. I don't know what the heck they did to it but something was done. I think I'm gonna stop by today, I hate being down to one key.
