Mustang Vert = Mustang Convertable...you get used to all the abbreviations after a while. :nice:

i believe the Bassani x-pipe is really just a reverse Y-pipe that bolts up to the factory Y-pipe thus Bassani`s claims it`s an x pipe. in reality that kind of system is offered by a quite a few companies (flowmaster,MAC,Magnaflow,Spintech).

they offer nice sound but no real gain in power. 5hp if your lucky.

Hooker and Hedman headers offer universal x pipes. as does BBK and Bassani and others. get one of those and have a mufflershop weld it in

or get a 5.0 x-pipe and cut it down and modify it to the 3.8 any good muffler shop can do that

thanks

thanks to everybody for replying. From what i undrestand i should go with any x-pipe that is designed for the v8 and have an exhaust shop weld it on to my existing cats. From there its just a matter of choosing the rest of the system.

I just got my stang right before winter last year ( i live in ontario) so i dont have it on the road yet. Its sitting in my garage after being stored all winter. I am trying to learn as much about stangs as i can so i dont make any mistakes when i work on it. this is by far the best place to do that. Thats for the feedback

what about just cutting off my y-pipe after the cats and going 2.5" to mufflers into tips??
