boost/overheating problems

Well i finally got my headgaskets replaced, and i went along and got all new gaskets/bolts for everything and she ran good with no boost just really rich. I compression checked her earlier today and all cylinders were around 120-140 psi, not bad. I broke her in about 1500 miles or so, and decided id put the charger back on her today. So i hooked up the 12 psi pulley, threw in the 23 heat range plugs gapped at .30 and put the timing back to around stock (no gun just marks). Anyways at full throttle around 3000-4500 rpm she cuts in and out pretty rough. Ive had this problem before and it fixed it when i advanced the timing a bit over stock. So i play around with the timing all day today, and still no change. Any other suggestions to try? Next after all of the playing with the timing she started spitting coolant out of the overflow reservoir until she overheated...id fill the radiator back up and the overflow would bubble up until it spewed it back out. Would the thermostat getting stuck cause that, or do i need to run some cleaner through her or what?

Ok solved the overheating problem today, my brand friggen new thermostat malfunctioned....woulda been easy to see my hoses balooning up if i wasnt so frustrated about the boost problems. Any ideas about the boost problem are still welcome.
