Custom fiberglass sub enclosures

I can appreciate the ingenuity of such a procedure but could
could never find the where with all to accomplish such a task.
It looks respectable and is said to sound good and definately
saves the space as opposed to a big box but I wonder if it
would sound better and seems to be a lot of work to the
untrained like me. But it has its coolness.

i've built a few fiberglass boxes. it's the best thing ever! it does take time but if you like car stereo and clean sounding music then it's well worth it. and it's not as hard as you think.

i do have a few pics of one of them....it has 4 12's and it's for a buddys s-10. but i honestly don't know how to post them on here. do you know how to...it so...show you the pics. for the supplys ...for the box with 4 12's that i did...i'd say it was around $100-150 total. but i was well worth it.

I'm starting mine tomorrow or sometime early next week, now that school's out. I'm only doing one, though, on the rear passenger side of the trunk. I'll post pics of the install and everything once I get started.

2 12" MTX either T6124 or T4124, I can't remember which ones, I ended up buyin' em from a friend for $50 plus I got an old beat up box with it... (Couldn't pass those up) And the box had some crappy horn tweeters with it too...

I do this all the time...I'll warn you though, it's not as easy as they make it look. I can almost guarantee you that you will make a lot of mistakes your first time out, but you'll learn from them and hopefully the second one you do will come out better. The materials are relatively cheap, we buy in bulk so I have no clue how much you would spend to just do one box. Just a couple of suggestions:
1. Be patient...you probably won't get it done in a weekend and get it exactly how you want it.
2. Try to look for other "how-to" articles on this because this one is lacking some of the nuances and how to fix things that you do wrong.
3. DEFINITELY USE THE RESPIRATOR...the first (and only) time I inhaled fiberglass dust I was hacking blood for a few hours.

Here's mine. This was my first time doing it. It's not that hard, but it does take a long time. Took me like three weekends just to get the fiberglassing done. Mine doesnt really save trunk space, but that not what i was going for, i just didnt want an ugly box in there.

The pic doesnt do it justice though, it looks so much better in person.
