After one of my last posts, I thought of a pretty good question. Anyone decibal tested their exhausts lately? I hit 130 from 8 feet back in a parking lot at around 5000 rpm. It's so illegal but it's worth it!

I would call that loud, at work you would need Ear muffs and earplugs to drive it. :rlaugh: I think half those
decibals in a workplant you are required to wear
ear plugs.....not all maybe....but....

not loud enough, have stock exhaust, but will be getting l/t,prochamber,xr1's, how loud will that be?

mmmmm....prochamber and xr1's......sounds like money to me :nice:

If you're going from stock exhaust to that, you're going to leave a huckstable or two in the driver's seat when you start it up for the first time!!

really? i've never heard of that site, and as soon as i get off this stupid work computer, you can rest assured i'll be at home with the volume turned way up.

The one thing that is not good about having a ridonkulously loud exhaust is the looks you get from the older gentlemen at autoshows. Last year I did the Henry Ford Annual Birthday Bash show in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Before I left, one of the senior staff from the Manitoba Mustang and Ford Association told me to tee up my rpm for him (he'd heard me when i pulled in a few hours earlier). After he twisted my arm a bit, I let it go and i didn't see too many happy elderly faces as I pulled out. The younger enthusiasts ( aged 50 - 15 ) seemed to enjoy the show though :)

I got 118 db's on my bassani X with cats & 2 chamber flows.
There were 3 of us checking the cars with a decible meter, the loudest was stock cats & Borla stingers cat back @ 121db. The other mustang got 120 with pro chamber & Mac cat back.

i definately couldnt drive my car much more if mine was any louder. can be heard from a few blocks away at WOT. even if i keep my car at about 900rpms going down my block in 4th gear, i still wake everyone up at 3-4 in the morn. of 9/10 of my friends, they say that mine is the best stang they have ever heard on the road....i have yet to let someone drive it so i can hear it myself from the outside. my car aint no :taco: :p

cool man. I'm from winnipeg. too bad i couldnt go to the show tho.

what exhaust do you have???

why the heck would you want it extremely loud? just a nice little burboly sound would make me happy, and did, till my stang got knocked into. I loved it, stock muffs with a summit off road H pipe. It gave that purfect growl under load, yet was pretty quiet when i would just cruise, allowing for the subs and 1200 watt amp to do their job... ahhhh, the bliss of my car... DOH, it's totalled
