Does anyone know if it's been used by ford before?

If so, is it any good? Will it be a nice step up from the auto in the current line of stangs?

If it hasn't been used, have you read anything that you can tell whether or not it'll be a good tranny?

2nd class GT???

would an automatic gt be considered 2nd class or inferior to a manual gt??? Just wondering, as i would be driving long distances as well as rush hour traffic jams. shifting would be ok on the distance runs, but in stop and go traffic it would suck. so i am leaning towards the more expensive auto trans. but is it THAT much slower than a stick.

Auto's are generally slower...
But if you're concerned about launching fast and keeping up, you could get your computer reprogramed and add a stall converter.

Manual in stop/go slow speed traffic sucks for me. But downshifting and flooring it is so much fun.

REALLY hard to choose.

Not hard at all for me to choose. Automatic all the way. Traffic, you know. Besides, I don't go to the track so I don't care if I give up a couple of tenths or so in the quarter. Plus I have a vert, which is even slower, but it's stll quicker than most cars on the street.

okay, sounds expensive for the reprogram/stall converter, and now that i think about it...i'll save on tires if i floor/burn rubber less.

i have a v6/vert which is ok speedwise. why do you say yours is "even slower"?
