I'm curiou what everyones oppinion is on this. For the $10,000 or less what would be the best mustang to buy. Of course I mean pretty much stock to use as a platform for later mods. Obviouslt to find one alread tricked out would be the best option. But what about as far as close to stock? Whats the best buy for $10,000? Thanks in advance for your input. Also I'm near Houston Tx..so any of you that have any for sell , let me know what you have...maybe we can make a deal.

get a 94-95 5.0 GT.... for anywhere around 5-7k take the rest of the money and mod it... heads, intake, cam, gears, rearend etc. run 12's N/A add N02 and run 11's.... or jsut s/c the car.... ALOT of options to go for.

i myself have the 01GT im selling to my uncle for about a 2-3k loss. buying a 94-95 GT and doing the above mods.... accept i'll have around $7,000 to play with :hehe:

go pick up an autotrader for your area. i found a few low mile 94-95 GT's low miles being under 30K selling for 6-8k....

For the best mustang you can get for $10k I would say a 96-98 cobra. I have owned two 5.0s and my 96. I love my cobra the most even though my 88 would kill it in a race.
:stupid:
I could not agree more. This will get you the most performance for your dollar. You just need to find a low mile one that has not been driven hard.

good missinformation there :) many stock turds run mid high 14's (stick of course) just as 13.7 our of a bone stock 99+ is not unheard of.

I have maybe only seen one or two (96-98s) run into the 14s(high)
and as of your complete bone stock 99 running 13.7
(no gears, no exhaust, nothing) :bs:

My buddy's 2002 GT (5spd) ran 13.7 BONE stock at the track... so its not BS. He has the time slip.

If you want to hear "unheard of" i've heard stories of this one kid at the track having a 98GT that is COMPLETLY N/A running low 12's...and he DOESN't have the 99+ PI headswap... :nice: He drives it like he stole it. THAT is impressive...
