Ok every one says that LS1s are SOOO much faster than GTs,but thats really not the case.Dont get me wrong, they are faster, but look at 1/4 times, with a pro driver a 01 or so SS got 13.5 in the 1/4,my cousins friend has a 2001-2002 Z28 auto and he ran 13.6 best, and now look at the GTs,run 14.00-14.1s with pro drivers and some even got lower than that like 13.7s and junk, but yea they have got SOME SS's into the high 12s and mostly in low 13s but thats not all of them.Adverage is about .5-.7better in the 1/4 which is actually not that far behind considering a car with 260HP verses the UNDERATED 325 in a SS along with the ramair hood thats power cannot be seen on a dyno.So all in all the 4.6s do not do to bad and with that guys mods,I do NOT doubt that he pulled him for a second. And for you skeptics thinking, well you dont know the power of a modern LS1,I can say YES I do because my friend has a 02 SS and I have riden in it and the 01 auto Z28 that he used to have and it is definatly FAST but not insainly faster than the 04 GT I got to drive (fixing to buy one :D ) like everyone makes them out to be.I would rate the 01 Z28 as very close in performance, but the SS will without a doubt pull fairly fast from it maybe like about half as fast as a 99 GT will pull from a 98 GT.Maybe a tad faster. To some this may be sloughter, but not to me.If you got beat worse than this,YOU SUCK!!! J/K :D
Wonder how much crap I will get for this post?

the only crap i am going to give u about is the ram air thing. that thing doesnt do jack shiit. my friends dad has a ram air firehawk......the opening for the ram air at the filter housing is barley wide enough to fit 2 pieces of paper!!! LMAO!!!

ram air you have to be over like 160mph to notice anything at all. Best part about it is that it is sucking cool air straight from the outside so that may not be seen on the dyno, but even the f-body guys (most of them) admit the RamAir effect is negligible.

Take the best LS1 1/4, say it's 12.7-12.9 stock, then the best 1/4 for the Mustang stock, say 13.5-13.7 giving a little better than your estimate. That's still .6 at the very best case scenario. Of course very few LS1s and very few 4.6 GTs will get those numbers fully stock. I think I was being generous with both numbers. I'd still take a mustang over an LS1 anyday, except maybe a convertible vette ;)

hahah funny thing is my friend's uncle taught chuck norris how to fight.

My old Karate Teacher was on the '70 or '72 Olympic martial arts team with Chuck norris. Here in the Bay area back then it was a big deal to have a local boy in the Olympics. It wasn't too long after that Chucky Baby Was A movie star.
