Has anyone chromed thier aluminum rims???

Yes -- the chroming will add weight. The price isn't bad, I think I paid $125 a piece for a set of 17's I had done. What I might suggest instead is to look for either new Pro-Stars or a set of the Crager version which is steel and chrome already. I think new rims won't cost hardly any more and will be the way their supposed to be, and the Crager ones will be cheaper than what you're planning to do.
 
hey 89gx, thanx, but but my wheels are pro star "lookalikikes" they are not weld's. weld dont make no stinkin 4 lug pro star.....I got some nice generick Primes THAT ARE ALUMINUM....so yea....yea...thier aluminum alright...yeape. Aint no 4 lug crager's niever...im gonna stop now...
 
i cant get these rims ever again because they are 4 lug...pro star style....not manufactured anymore style of wheel..RARE....4lug mustang _ Pro Star style..what the hell more can I say....must chrome these wheels now....nightmares of everyones 17" cobra r's...nightmares man!!....soooo mannny cobra r's...soooo many!!! make it stop! tooo many!!
