Hey guys, I know I'm in the wrong forum, no flaming, but I figured you guys would have more experience with 17x9's than most of the guys on the V6 forum. I have Cobra R rims, 17x9's, and my pos Yoko's are bald as hell. I have 255/40's on now, and I would like to get a little bit larger sidewall to soften up the ride a little bit, because the 40 series are pretty harsh. If Yoko's just have really stiff sidewalls let me know, but I'd like to know if I can go a little bigger sidewalls like 245/45's without messing up the calibration/accuracy of my speedomoter. Can anyone help me??
I'm also open for any tire suggestions, I want something quiet that will last more than 12,000 miles. I can deal with a little less sticky and want actual winter traction as I don't have winter tires. I was thinking some conti-sport contacts??
