I just bought a 94 cobra with a powerdyne blower set at 6 psi. I want more power my target is about 400 hp to the wheels, any suggestions on the cheapest and most effective way to do this? The car has the blower and bassanni headers, and a off road h pipe with c&l true flow cats on it that the previous owner put on. How are the internals on 94 cobras? Can they handle extra boost, are they forged or cast? Im thinking the easiest way to do this is 9 psi, and cams. All opinions are welcome im not quite as famillar with these cars, as I am modular 4.6's.

My friends 91 made 400.8hp/398tq to the wheels with box stock GT40X heads, 1.7's, RPM intake, and an e-cam. He also has a powerdyne with 6 psi. The stock internals are good until ~500rwhp.

I'd say a set of AFR heads. Gonna flow way better than those E7's. Also consider a cam and an intake manifold. Not exactly the cheapest, but will get you close to your goal.

He has a cobra, they have GT40 heads.

Heres what you should do to easily get your 400rwhp: 80mm pro m maf, 42lb injectors, smaller pulley and a chip tune. If they cant hit 400 safe hp, find a new tuner.

I agree, some better flowing heads, or have your heads ported as well as your intake. Does Powerdyne or anyone make an intercooler/aftercooler for that blower. If they do, that will greatly help you out. Combine that with some good port work, and you wont be spending an arm and a leg.
