Just wanted to vent and give an FYI.
I've been waiting for my new head gaskets for a week now and they finally arrived yesterday and I was pumped to get the car back together this weekend. So I open the box and (1) head gasket!!!!!! I totally didn't realize that they are sold individually and it is clearly printed on the ad. :bang: So if you order some (9333's) from Summit make sure you order 2 cuz they don't come as a pair/set.

I was wondering why it was so inexspensive. I was thinking "damn what a deal!" :D
I just ordered one through Advance auto and it will be here tomorrow. Man, the stress these cars can cause you...

Hehe. I did the same thing when I ordered a bunch of stuff from 50resto including what I thought was a pair of windshield wiper blades. I broke the old ones in half so I could get them to fit into the trash can. Had no time to go to Autozone to get another wiper blade, so I had fun coming home from work that night, in the rain. :nonono:

Here is a pic of what I finished so far, I put 1/2 of it back together and it sucks I gotta wait to finish the rest tomorrow!

I tested a lot of stuff for heat and I painted one spot on the jet-hot and it never faded or came off so I went ahead and painted my block and that was testd for a while and it never cracked or faded either. I ended up painting a lot of other stuff as well.

If theres an autozone near by, i would try them. That is where i would get my 9333pt-1 head gaskets, and they were only 18 a piece there.

BTW, from my understanding, the 9333 is better for alum heads, and the 8548 is the same exact gasket(different fire ring) but for iron heads.

:owned: by Summit :rlaugh:

....sorry just had to do it....that sucks dude...but your engine bay!....we are gonna have to have the engine bay face off between you and Mike(Oink) when his gets all back together!...

and BTW not to hyjack your thread...but ive got Ceramic Bassani =lengths on my car right now...so if i painted them with some high temp paint do you think ir would work??...or would i need to have them jet hot coated, then ceramic than paint like yours??....on 2nd thought they were a BITCH to put in and i may not want to take them out again....serious the =lenghts made me say "ya know, those were such a PITA that i never want them to come out again, maybe ill do a blower instead of turbo" lol

:bang: Are you serious? Well I already have one on so I will keep my fingers crossed.

I would try a spot of paint in an area that is not obvious and see if it holds up under temps.

nonlocality Still using the Cobra intake. :nice:
