What gears do you like the best?

I would run 4:10 in a forced induction car.It depends on the tranny.I'm switching too 3:73's from 4:10's to get a little more mph in first (in all the gears as a matter of fact)
and some more top end.

Im running 4.10s with my combo. It wasnt bad with the t-5 gearing, but now with the X2C TKO its WAY to much. Ill be going to 3,73s or 3.55s soon. I had to drive from North jersey to seaside beach, 60 miles approx, all highway, 60 mph, 3000rpm, 5th gear..NOT COOL!

Before I built the current 332", I loved the 4.10 gears, especially with the 5-speed I had in the car. But now, with the stroker motor and a C4 auto, the 4.10s are useless because I can smoke the street radials even when starting out in 3rd gear at half throttle.
I guess it depends on what you want to do with the car.

I think it all depends on a lot of variables. I have 4.10s in my convertible and now want to go to 3.55s. They were a good choice of gears back when I had an AOD and just the s-trim on the car, but after the tko and the engine work traction is huge problem and running out of gear in the 1/4. I do love the 4.30s in my cobra though, they match the cars rpm band perfectly. I will still keep them after the turbo kit but a viper 6 speed is also going in at the same time.

i would recomend the 3.73 gears. they are all around the best. they can go on with no mods, and still produce noticably. and with mods, they perform better. 4.10's are good too, but that is if you are laying down some serious HP numbers. make sure to get ur puter recalibrated or you will top out at a much lower speed that what you are at now.

I have 4.10's now but will be switching to 3.73's or 3.55's when I put on the nitrous. Hitting 5th in the 1/4 KILLS your et lol. 6.14's work nice in the roundy round car tho :)
